Candidates engage with our IBD simulation in two stages. First, they apply valuation metrics to raise funds for their clients at a price acceptable to the market before then managing the initial stages of an IPO auction. The second stage involves candidates finding and securing the appropriate merger or acquisition opportunity for their clients, based on geographical and industry strategy synergies.

Candidates are grouped into funds where each asset manager is responsible for an asset class. Based on their research, they apply a complimentary and coherent strategy across assets, whilst also deciding on the funding each asset manager receives. Candidates can also manage a mulit-asset class portfolio where they compete against the benchmark, allocating assets based on their research and understanding of the client needs. PMTrader allows candidates to engage with a range of simulated or real historical market events.
